Dude (NoName), lighten up: Here is my full disclosure statement, so you won't go complaining about me to the SEC. I don't have any money. I don't follow DM's picks. I've only been on SI for about two weeks. I had my girlfriend buy CITI on her (very small) account once on a quick play when it was admittedly grossly overvalued (I thought she could make a bit off the herd) and once again when it fell back to 1 1/s- (a price that I independently think is too low for CITI.) Both were well after Dan released his picks. I got one PM from Dan that I think was about a dispute over how to calculate book value. I am mainly here to collect ideas for a third-year paper about some aspect of the challenge to securities regulators created by all you mad heathens. I only got involved in this fray when I felt that way too many people were heaping unwarranted scorn on a young man who, I think, is learning valuable things and causing no harm to others. Harm is certainly being caused, but it is self-inflicted. I have no ulterior motives. Well, I do admit that since I am still long CITI, I would like for people to consider buying it. I've heard that it helps the stock price. After all, I did lose money for my girlfriend on my first failed momentum trade on CITI and am hoping my later buy-in will make up the difference. I promised her I would make up any net loss on trades I recommended to her. Of course, I certainly don't suggest you buy it on Daniel's- and certainly not on my- advice. I will, however, be so bold as to suugest that Canterbury's (that is the name of the co., BTW) has a strong NY facility that could lay the groundwork for future profitable acquisitions. Kaplan Educational Services, if I am not mistaken (and I may be) started in a similar way. OOPS. I probably shouldn't have said I recommend picks to her. The SEC may be after me after all. Folks, there are some real sharks in these SI waters, and DM is not one of them. There are all sorts of paid touters and pump and dumpers who pump through fraudulent information. Watch out for them, and for heaven's sake don't buy Dan's pick when it is up 75% unless you plan to sell it within the next ten minutes. I think Dan may have a decent talent for finding companies that are undervalued by maybe 5% to 25% and which have a shot at investor realization of that value through some news item. Then again, he may not. But if you create your own pump and dump through your own histrionic fits of greed and self-doubt, don't blame him for it. Thank you for your time.
