A couple of comments about THE contract.

First, is that although it has not moved the companies share price much higher I would expect that any downside on the stock has been significantly mitigated.

Second, there can be little doubt about the Newbridge / Siemens relationship now that this contract is out.

Third, based on previous posts the contract is weighted more towards Newbridge at the start and then to Siemens as time goes on. This being said one would expect the bulk of the deal to be the 36170 which is a Newbridge product therefor of large benefit to Newbridge throughout the contract.

Fourth, ~$750 million Canadian is a huge contract. And as Paul Silverstein said that it could be much more...

Fifth, I would love to get anyone's thoughts about the DT and FT contacts that Newbridge is working on. Add to that the Sprint deal that is up for grabs.

Regards
Glenn

The Dow Jones story states NN will benefit the most initially and as Siemens brings products to the contract the mix will shift.

Initially, Newbridge will get the bulk of the revenue generated from the five-year pact because most of the equipment shipped to Global One at the outset will consist of Newbridge's 36170 switches, the Newbridge spokesman told Dow Jones.
