Nice to see you again, LindyBill:

Sorry I haven't been around to chat (here or G&K board) as I have been busting my you know what at work and just haven't had the time. Things seem to be settling down today, however.

With respect to AOL, I understand your fear of tulips, they have burned me before. Believe me, they have burned me before. But I learned the hard way with regards to AOL a few years ago that their management and execution of business strategies is second to only, well you know, our beloved MSFT. Some in the investment community would even argue that AOL management's ability to execute even surpasses MSFT's, at least until Ballmer showed up to take control.

I would not focus on AOL's PE multiple. Think about management's track record of execution, their almost cult like subscriber following and their ability to enter new markets (both geographical and service segments), and forget about AOL's PE.

As you know, I am also a big believer in ATHM. So I base my belief in AOL's future in their ability to do a lot more than just roll up subscribers to a primitive 56k modem internet service.

Thanks,
Teflon
