I may be overly sensitive and harping on semantics but his response to shoddy journalism was weak. First of all, I didn't major in journalism in college but when you use "" to surround text I would think that is an exact quote. Secondly how can you go from "the MUSE pellet IS more difficult to use than the Viagra pill" (duh, no kidding) to MUSE "was tough to apply". To me those are 2 entirely different things (nevermind the tense, but "tough" vs. "more difficult") and VERY damning coming from the mouth of the CEO. Thirdly, what kind mealy-mouth, wishy-washy response is "not realizing how investors such as yourself might interpret this", how about about ALL the freakin' people reading the column who have ED that would turned off by the CEO of Vivus making a statement like that? Fourth, how about a correction in the newspaper instead of posting a mea culpa to an investment board that already knows what the reality is.
