I have been having some problems with buying and selling options for the past few days. On Monday I placed a limit order to buy CMGI March 170 calls for $20.00. Shortly after placing the order, my order screen indicated that I was filled at 15 1/2 and it indicated the March 170 calls. I wondered how I had such a great fill; since my quote screen showed they were at 20 1/4 when I placed the order. So I checked again and it indicated the March 170 calls were purchased. I printed out the screen and waited to have my purchase reflected on the Holdings screen.

After about an hour, it still didn't show up; so I called and got conformation that I was filled on the March 170 calls. On Tuesday a.m., I decided to sell at 52.00 and after placing the order and waiting; the sale was rejected. I checked the holding screen and it indicated that I purchased the March 180 calls. I called the trade dept. and explained that my purchase screen indicated that I had the 170 calls. This took about 30 minutes of waiting.

The trader said I was wrong. The stock was falling and so I ended up selling the March 180 for 43.00. I lost more than a 1000.00 of profits just messing around trying to make the sale.

On Tuesday I was also selling to close options on NSOL, CNET and PFE; when I noticed that EMC was moving up. I placed a limit order for the March 110 calls and was filled near my limit. A few hours later, I went to sell the EMC calls and was shocked to see that instead of the calls, the order was filled with the 110 puts. My order screen showed the puts; but I know that I placed the order for the calls.

What a mess. My account and holding screens are still not updated from the Tuesday transactions. I have about had it with these people.
