I know plenty who do it at work. Also, if you check the size of trades on EBAY virtually all of them are individuals (less than 100 shares). so that volume is day trade related. Nobody buys and holds that crap -g-

I don't know anyone that quit a job recently to daytrade. There are plenty running around SI. I do know a lot of people that day trade while they are working.

I did. Quit last August. Been living on the daytrading proceeds ever since. And AR is right, no one buys and holds crap like EBAY, at least before their lobotomy <G>. BTW, a little secret, the fastest profits daytrading are on the short side. I can't wait for the BK. It will just be reversed, instead of buy the dips, you sell the rallies.
