Tech, thanks for the story & MSFT up in afterhours...

"Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) moved up from 161-3/8 to
162; Intel Corp. (Nasdaq:INTC - news) notched up from 116-7/8 to 117-1/8; and Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:CSCO - news) edged up from 104-3/8 to 104-9/16."

- I actually teach college level International Business & Economics

- And American companies do things overseas they'd never dream of doing in the US

- For instance, this deal w/ Compaq & Cisco is locking out others. Very anti-competitive. Never would be okay here.

- But in China or Brazil, the Gov't wants the technology rolled out so badly... they don't care... and bottom line is that on some of these overseas deals, MSFT stands to make a ton of money servicing vast amounts of people
