The one thing is that Windows relegates the existing AGP board to monitor #2, and the new board (has to be PCI) to monitor #1, which is the Windows primary desktop with the taskbar, etc. So if you want great performance get a great board. The boards must be a combination of AGP & PCI or two PCI. I have a Matrox Millennium G200 AGP card, and temporarily installed an older Millennium I PCI card which I had on hand, which Windows recognized right away. I ordered a Graphics Blaster Riva TNT PCI card ($100 at buycomp.com), because it's much faster than my old Millennium.
