I'm not talking about normal market action. Stocks go up and they go down. I'm not even talking about cheerleading when you have a stake in it.

I mean, Mount St. Mary doesn't have a prayer in beating Michigan State - but so what if their student body and alumnus are rooting for their team and shouting "we're number one" and putting a few dollars on their team (at a trillion to one) to win the whole thing.

It's even okay for me to go over to their campus to explain why they don't have a chance. But, for me to make up phoney rumors, spread around highly questionable analysis, and use suspect statistics to prove my point would be kind of emotionally unhealthy on my part.
