Yes, bandwidth will surely become cheap or nearly free. I keep thinking that the whole thing ought to play out over the next few years but the direction is still far from clear. We have cable, fiber, even copper and wireless technologies that have not sorted themselves out, nor do they seem about to do so.

My strategy in this is to try to cover several of the bases. Surely at least one will prove to be a dominant technology. Given that, the possible cash flows that a dominant company will generate are actually so staggering as to look suspicious to me. So, I keep looking, reading and asking, and like you, thinking that the next few years could be quite interesting.
