Christopher: Thanks for that. What's the next support level after $23 - that's the one I'm aiming for! (joke)

Chris, what is the minimum CPQ has to do pricewise to break the pattern you have described. Return above the 200 and sit there for two days?

Christopher,

Thank you _very_ much for your TA profile. I started to swoon on my chair when I read it but if this is what you found, this is what you found.

Some questions I can think of right-off that you might be able to answer:

Now that CPQ is showing weakness, are you saying that we will see support at 30 then a further decline to another support at 23 or, that 30 is an important support level that if held, will be the bottom? On this point I was not quite sure.

In the TA you use, can non-technical developments [i.e. news] cause a sudden change to the pennant being formed such that a sudden upward movement is possible?

Regards,

Lynn

P.S. I'll cross my fingers your next TA is something we can all cheer about.

Christopher,
Thank you very much.

IMHO I had the feeling that $30 to $31 would be the bottom, unless some really bad news broke. $30 is a 20 PE for $1.50 earnings and a $50b Market Cap. The $30 price has a lot of bad news built into it. Sliding much below $30 would indicate a very sick company, or Compaq being caught in a market correction at the wrong time. Right now the bad news is rumor and not fact. Hopefully the rumor doesn't turn into fact. Hopefully the facts come out at something like $10b sales and $.37 earnings and Compaq gets back on track for $60 this year.

As always, it is great to get your TA reading. If the bottom falls out, I'll put my buy orders in at $24. <g>
