News today. Company Press Release Patriot Scientific Appoints Richard G. Blum to Its Board of Directors SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 11, 1999--Patriot Scientific Corp. (OTCBB:PTSC - news), today announced that Richard G. Blum, a senior international chief operating executive with major companies for more than 30 years, has joined the company's board of directors. The appointment expands Patriot's board to five members and brings the number of outside directors to three. In his first major overseas assignment, from 1956 to 1976, Blum served as general manager -- European operations for ADT Europe. During that time he built and expanded activities for the unit from three to 15 countries, and increased revenues from $2 million to $25 million. He then served with ITT Europe for 10 years, beginning in 1976, as division director and product line director. In those capacities, Blum had P&L responsibility for a series of industrial products companies with annual sales of more than $700 million. From 1986 to 1991, Blum served as chairman and president of Kysor Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kysor Industrial Corp. He was responsible for consolidating and restructuring the division into a profitable entity for this major producer of equipment for heavy-duty vehicles. For the past eight years, Blum, now a resident of Del Mar, Calif., has served as an independent consultant, primarily to emerging growth companies.
