If you are suggesting that we should have allowed Saddam to continue his well advanced program to produce nuclear weapons and allowed him to control the single richest source of high grade fossil fuel in the world, when it is inevitable that he would have used both the weapons and the control of the oil against us then you are the disingenuous one.

The only option for us, to Saddam's refusal to relinquish power is to destroy his ability to cause us harm. We don't have a legitimate option. The only one with the option to end this cycle of hostility is Saddam, by his death or abdication of power. Until then, he bears sole responsibility for all deaths of his countrymen, military or civilian.
