For some as yet unknown reason MRN in UK increased today's volume by 50% in the last 15 min, price now UP 3+% for day. MRN seems overly active today. Also from YAHOO: MERANT are holding a meeting at the Four SeasonsHotel - Park Lane London (free event with free lunch).To register for free ticket call (UK 01635 32646).They will be discusing 3 things:(1) MERANT's link to INTERSOLV(2) e-COMMERCE and e-COBOL(3) THE EURO/YEAR 2000I guess MERANT will use this event to drum up more business, stoke up more institutional investors and tomake some important annoucements. Thus I think the share price might go up slightly after this event.Cheers from NetCurtains (still the biggest selling softwareproduct for Windows !!!) Conference is Tuesday 23 March and that MERANT have taken a full page Ad in COMPUTER WEEKLY to advertise the event (page 29). A START is a START !! Michael
