Thank you Viper, I needed that chuckle.

Just caught up on the cc. I have nothing to add
that hasn't already been hashed on this thread.
(Except: next time Markman says "nominal" I will
know that he means "nominal". Jeez, what was I thinking?).

In case anyone cares, which I doubt, Doug was the winner
of our little contest (his guess: 350K). Presumably this is
an honor he would preferred to have avoided. But Doug, here
is a tip for you - next time try not to be so optimistic.
You missed by almost 300%! Tsk.

Personally, it's time for me to ignore this stock for awhile.

Where is that wineglass.

Resellers may hurting General Magic's image

Folks, go to dejanews.com and do a search on
Portico. I have been monitoring portico related posts on these
USENET discussion groups. I have noticed heavy amounts of spamming
by resellers who are trying to sell the Portico service. I am not happy that these resellers are spamming to try to get sales.
I am also not very happy that Portico, the service hasn't been discussed as much as it should be on cellular related newsgroups.
Here is an example of a reseller who keeps spamming.

This product must be absolutely AMAZING if it can get a Nokia 5190,
which is a GSM 1900 phone, to work on the CDMA 1900 Sprint PCS
system.

If you're going to try to dupe the public with your fake
recommendation, please at least lie about using a phone that actually
WORKS with the carrier you're telling stories about. Your product
might be something great and innovative, but I'm sure there are others
in this newsgroup that, like me, won't even bother to look at it
because our introduction to the product and company was by deceptive
means.
