Tim, Nice to see you here on PAIR. Though not a frequent poster I was there in the dark days of ASND (and some of the better ones). While I would never put PAIR in the same league, the opportunity seems strikingly similar. While the quarter will probably suck (warning seems likely), everything seems to be poised for a rebound in 2H. It's just a hell of a lot more frustrating (than ASND)because the co. doesn't tell you sh$&. I'll never forget a return call I received from Bernie Schneider (CFO) when the stock price was @ $23 or so! It gives you a lot more conviction to keep averaging down at the low's when you can get some legitimate questions answered (He said point blank they would hit the estimate. I'd faint if PAIR ever said anything other than I don't know or where in a "quiet fu#*(&}g period". That being said........a "blown" quarter is factored into the price of PAIR IMO of course. Now, management has gone on record (during the last conference w Banc Boston Robertson Stephens) that 1. growth will return in the 2H (AVIDIA!), and that 2. Margins will improve beginning in the 3rd quarter. (I've seen this first hand from a copy of PAIR's presentation). PAIR held 57% of the HDSL market at Dec. end '98. ADSL's forecast to grow at a CPGR of 293%! Don't underestimate the leader! PAIR shares @ anything at or below the present are a true bargain. larry
