Michael - re: "how should I count a computer hooked solely into my television? "

One each - TV and computer.

They "offset" each other.

Michael,

<Reclining with a remote mouse is the only way to surf SI. :-)>

I don't know about that.....surfing SI in bed with a notebook on your lap/belly is awfully comfortable too <gg>. That's how I wind down each day. BTW, at the same time, my wife is surfing her own interests on her own notebook. In between us is our three year old son watching some video, unless he is downstairs on his computer....he's really been getting into the the inkjet printer he got for his 3rd birthday (in Feb). He started harping about how bad he wanted a printer ever since he was 2 1/2. It has been simply amazing to watch how the PC has accelerated his development.
