I have a need to follow a thread on SI and want to be notified when a post is added to the string. Either by a certain person or just when ‘anyone' adds a post. Ideally, I would like to have a .wav sound chime in (like your buddy box notifies you when someone signs on or off the net). I want to see if I can get away from having to refresh the screen for ‘new' posts.

I have my fingers crossed hoping this exists on SI.
