Mike S,

Rule of thumb I use on Net stocks is 10% under... unless you're not able to watch the market and trade quickly, I wouldn't use a sell stop. The market makers are notorious for bottom fishing those sell stops... I've had occasions were I got stopped out in 2 minutes and left watching my stock break new highs in the third minute. Sell stops have a place. For VRIO on this occasion, taking into account we're only on the second day of breakout, 3 to 4 under should do fine.

If you have a large stake in this, 3 to 4 could mean thousands... I used to know this guy who calls in sick just to be able to watch the market <VBG>... ME! My old boss used to pull his hair...

SF

PS: You may also put a sell stop on only part of your holdings...
