Duker and all,

I think that amat, nvls and the other semi's are going to be in
a trading range (for about 2 weeks) until we get close to earnings season. Then, I see a sustained upward move until May. Two reasons for my conclusion. 1. The order momentum is going to continue. There will be more evidence and news about this which will push people's emotional buttons. Remember valuation isn't the issue these days.
2. Most speculate that stocks are going to fall sharply near the end of summer because of y2k, but all the traders and momentum players can't wait that long. They need to be trading so they will push the shares up in the near term. The analysts are saying that the techs are breaking down right now. I always try to do opposite of what those guys say. While everyone is watching oil and the bank stocks,
watch out for the sneaky techs!

Just my opinion

Jeff
