>>>thank you for taking the time to respond to my question about brokers

>>> sad that you were the only two to answer an honest question

I did not reply cause my small broker would kill your trades. Many minutes for confirms and such. and the rates are not cheap.

I stay only because I am reluctant to move on

>>> for whatever reason it looks like this thread has just about died

re dead thread ... yep

sorry to say I have mostly given up here, after trying to keep it going

The vast majority of our most important threadsters have joined the ranks of irc.

Intraday feedback is on mirc and not here.

I miss you all terribly and have for many many moons.

But it is the choice YOU guys have made

Some can filter out the irc bullsh**, but some cannot ... so we move on

SI is slower paced for those of us that have patience to wait for a decent return and not 1/8's, and for those of us who are unable to ignore the hype that is so tantalizing

My best to all my Z friends ...

Ron,

<<<for whatever reason it looks like this thread has just about died>>>

Of course this thread has died. What did you expect when quite a few members decided to move to mIRC? Then the Zstockchat channel on mIRC died when most of the group decided to move to a private room for daytrading. And you wonder why it died?

It makes perfect sense to me.....

Paul

Ron, belated answer to your broker question.
I use discover brokerage $15 mkt, $20 limit orders. Their execution is good, website is okay, phone help available. Web site is some times hard to access, and doesn't easily give execution information.
Brownco - $5/mkt $10/limit. price (brownco and discover) is per trade. successive trades in the same stock count as individual trades. Speed excellent, very easy to access trade executions, web site usually very good, periodically problems, but probably not more than an other place. Would definitely rate brownco over discover, especially since they are lower cost. larry
