Betty, check with your tax advisor. Long term holding period was reduced to 12 months last year.

betty, If you are short term trading some shares forget about FA for now(we know it is much better than the price reflects). Those who have been shorting from 5 3/4 on down are looking for confirmation of a new bottom which I think we hit today. Those who were buying under 3 sold 3 days ago for HUGE profits and will jump back in ASA a new bottom on the latest pullback is confirmed and then we will see a real lasting rally with a goal to run up to and break 6 in the short term(Look 5 13/16 got pretty darn close!). Can anyone confirm a 50 day MA and a 200 day MA? I am getting different numbers depending on what source I am looking at.
