I never cease to be impressed with how completely contradictory and hypocritical Americans are culturally and politically.
Not that that is such a bad thing, it makes for rather humourous observation.

Let's clear up one little assumption that all members of the international community overlook when dealing with Americans: the simple idea that all men are created equal.

From what I've been reading on this discussion it sounds to me like it should read:

'All Americans are created equal, tough luck for the rest of you'.

If ever there was a nation that should understand that ultimately men are judged as individuals, and that they should not be mindless vehicles of some Orwellian military and political machine, I would have thought it should have been the US.

Humourously, as tends to happens in society, cycles slowly turn, so whilst the US is indeed practising a manifestation of fierce nationalism, Europe is still recovering from its deathly toll this century.
