Twister:
I don't tilt at windmills. Too old.

The numbers involved all begin with a "B", as in billions.

Some food for thought;
- How much smaller will that "pristine" balance sheet be after the justice settlement?
- What happens to MSFT's cash flow if the box builders as a group decide that by throwing a bit of support behind Linux, another big cost reduction could be made,....the cost of that expensive MSFT royalty.
- Governments have been known to axe tax loop holes. Sometimes they do this RETROACTIVELY, especially where a big, "should-have-known-better", RICH company is involved. Do you think the government currently holds MSFT in high esteem?

My advice with respect to MSFT has for some time been that it's neither a safe long nor safe short. Its massively over-valued on fundamentals, but it's too dangerous to short. Now, I'm starting to re-evaluate that position.

With respect to the back-out, it would be unfair not to give Bill Parish full credit for having done most of that work. Check out his site for an eye-opener rather than speaking without the benefit of having reviewed it.

Best, Earlie
