OXHP gets upgraded. 3Com, Microsoft -2: As Reported In The Wall Street Journal SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Dow Jones)--3Com Corp. (COMS) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) confirmed plans to develop co-branded home networking products in a news release Thursday morning. As reported Thursday in The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft and 3Com plan to jointly market software and hardware kits to connect home computers, enabling multiple-computer families to share Internet connections, printers and hard drives through home networks. Microsoft and 3Com said the kits, which are expected to be available at retail stores this fall, will simplify the process and enable users to connect their machines at speeds as much as 10 megabits a second through phone lines, electrical wiring or radio frequencies.
