Looks like COOL is basing right now. After reading the package sent out by the company it is interesting to note that start-up costs are less than a million $. This amount is required over a 6 month period. Revenue projections for the first year should cover the start up costs 5 times over if achieved. The company has used data gathering research based groups such as the Gartner Group, Dataquest, Statistics Canada, Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Ass'n and Bloomberg, among others, in developing their business plan.
Some research has established that internet music sales increased 156% in 1997 alone. In 1999, 20% of music sales will be online sales.
Music sales alone are projected (again, not by COOL but market research)to be $1.6 Billion by 2002. With the growing awareness of MP3 the trend to online music should continue to increase.
Research also addressed published material, video and DVD and these also indicate online sales should increase exponentially.
Let's hope the word spreads and investors become more aware of the company and its direction and potential.
