The IM announcement specifically mentions weak economic conditions in LatAm, Asia and Europe. This last mention corroborates what Gardner from SSB wrote about the slowdown in PC sales in Europe that he observed on his recent trip.

IM also mentioned specifically price competition.

IM has now warned of weak sales two consecutive quarters, according to news accounts.

Direct sales organizations are definitely having an effect on IM.

To All, I have unwound my Halliburton buy write in my IRA income account. 10% in 3 months annualized real nice in an income portfolio. And another explanation as to why I don't do this type of trade in the partnership account. <g> I still hold Hal in Cap App.
