These statements are very interesting and somewhat disturbing in their accuracy....

Grassley lamented that the State Department seems more concerned with the citizens of Kosovo than the citizens of Keokuk, Iowa who are faced with a growing influx of illicit narcotics.

Constantine said he wished the nation would pay as much attention to the drug issue as the Y2K problem.

As concerned citizens and parents we can discuss the merits of certain types of preventions. Clearly this is a social problem of almost epidemic proportions. On the other hand, as investors we are concerned with actual U.R.O.D. addiction remediation numbers.

Our concern is the bottom line of CITA {DTOX}... so we watch the collective numbers of those addicted to opiates. Those that either voluntarily want to detox themselves.... or will very shortly... (via Janet Reno's new policy).... be court remanded to do so.

Clearly CITA (and other rapid detox centers) must attempt to influence addcted individuals as well as judges, health insurance providers, treatment counselors and the medical community in general that the U.R.O.D. detox process is more expedient, less intrusive, safer and more effective than the conventional alternatives. Obviously this needs statistical backing. Right now it would appear that other "rapid detox centers" are more akin to allies than competition.

As such it appears we are battling the status quo.... (where have I heard that line?)<g> Again there are sooo many layers; Ie., medical, political, psychological, physiological, legal, ethical, etc. to this issue... and my take is that from an investors position this thing will either sink or fly.... but there won't be too much ambivalent grey area beyond a certain point.

Bottom line... the UROD detox system cannot be over looked by the system. It requires the system to employ it in order to evaluate it. As such CITA will have its time and subsequently many more investors will consider it. I do think we might be a little early.... but given the huge dollars that are being thrown at treatment.... the time for evaluation is very near as can be evidenced by the recent 20/20 piece and other National news coverage CITA has garnered.
