I don't disagree with your points -- ZD content and pageviews have respectable value, but does it justify their debt? This IPO may generate a standard case of euphoria, followed by disappointment -- up, then down; money to be made both ways. The IPO creates a "tracking stock", sells a minority % to the public. Brings in some cash to ZD, but not even a sliver of $1.5 Bil. No real new value is created, simply helps "expose" the valuation of the web asset to the market. Parent co retains majority interest -- which they already own.
