Djane, I don't see much advantage in 'bulk-buying' on-line like that. Corporate bulk buying discounts are valid because the selling costs are greatly reduced. One sales call covers 100 times the volume of a small account. Delivery costs are lower. Account management is simpler. Contracts can be entered into giving assured volume for stock management.

None of that applies to a Web collective. In the Web, each person will have a different delivery address, contract etc so there won't be cost savings with bulk orders. Delivery priority will be problematic.

For Globalstar, it would make sense to sell bulk minutes at a discount to a single company such as Vodafone, but that is normal corporate bulk selling.

I can't see anything like that working in dynamic, real-time pricing based on remaining satellite capacity in Globalstar. Then again, maybe it could with bulk minutes sold on-line based on some 'expected demand algorithm' which Globalstar could come up with. Those large corporate chunks would be the 'base-load' to be sold under various price plans while malleable spot-priced minutes would be the 'peak shaving'.
