Actually, Skeeter, I was talking about the creatures inhabiting the local garbage dumps. Seems that they didn't have sense enough to invest, and they went short a bunch of dogs like Dell, AOL, CSCO etc. Anyhow, they got caught in a short squeeze and the banker repossessed their caves so the poor fellers have been out and about all winter long looking for handouts. They are quite tame, actually, but they do have some of the quirkiest mannerisms. One band is wandering around saying "Save your Confederate money, the South will rise again", while another, more intellectual band is mumbling something about "Now is the winter of our discontent made summer by that son of a bitch AG". I'm not exactly sure what that means, but from what I can gather they figure that AG has somehow smoothed over some of the bumps in economic road by providing liquidity in the face of troubled markets. Obviously, from their point of view this is bad because it reverses what would have been a bad reaction which is what they had been hoping for. But that will make the ultimate reaction worse, they contend, which from their point of view will make things better. Talk about the Grinch that stole Christmas!

Anyhow, these guy are pretty docile now, having been declawed by an economy they simply cannot understand. They occasionally let out a growl, much to the amusement and delight of the local children.

TTFN,
