Dennis, At least we know they are making some inroads in this area but I see these as real possibilities if the voluntarily split up the company a few years down the road---My guess is that they will split up sometime in 2001. In the meantime---double every year should be acceptable to shareholders!!!

Stange!!! That is probably when the DOJ well be at the final resolution stage ie. Supreme Court.
Can you imagine the DOJ trying to block a voluntary break up? Then you would see lawsuits against the government. My opinion is that MSFT is in the best position of any technology company as Bill Gates stated in one of the earnings conference calls last year.
I believe him and am gonna make a ton of money on this stock. I don't need the internet gambling machine for my gains.
