Intel employees do not receive stock options at below market price. When they are granted (either when the employee starts or annually around April if the employee gets additional options for good performance), they are priced at the market price. If our company's price doesn't rise, we don't benefit. Some people don't like the dilution associated with the tech industry's practice of issuing stock options, but IMO they certainly are an incentive to work hard.

I believe all corporations grant their options at fair market value.

Your interpretation of what I said is interesting. Let me spell it out for you. There are people posting on this thread who have 20 to 30 times what they started with that have never owned a stock option they didn't purchase and have never been an Intel employee. Most of them made the money by buying and holding stocks in excellent companies.

These are the people I suggested you join.
