Reasons, purchasers don't have time to last minute shop with the possibly not getting the goods delivered on time . Secondly US recognition of BII grew only very late in the fall 98'. Thirdly the process of auction requires time to confirm your purchase. X MAS 99' could be very different due to more gift style offerings , better lead times ,proven delivery systems , proposed business model changes, consumers becoming more comfortable with the auction format. ZNET stated all sales on Inet going to the auction format eventually. .
