Cheryl,

That is a good question. I have someone that can answer it much more clearly than I and with less bias that it might be that I can answer it.

While at the Global Partners Summit In Utah, John Gantz, Senior VP of IDC did an Analyst's perspective of the Internet, E-Commerce industry and market. He also prejected his prediction on how this works to the Directory Services arena.

You can watch and listen to his entire presentation that he did at the summit which I was at. Following is the web-site that you can launch the Real-Audio presentation...

novell.com

When you get to that site, then click on the "Analyst Trends Forum" presentation on the page. John speaks for about 45 minutes. It is a very good presentation and because he is from IDC, it is also quite objective.

I hope that helps you understand the potential market for Directory Services.

While your on that site, you might also want to listen to the other industry analyst, Robert Sakakeeny. He gives a great description of the whole Directory Services arena of technology and the stratification of the different types of DSes in the industry and what the future potentially holds for the different players.

Hope you find it very interesting. Tell me what you think.
