<<The competition is over, AOL has the subscribers, and the broadband providers that want to maximize their ROI will be coming to AOL to get their share of the 17M+ pie. It's just a matter of time.

So my question is, what's wrong with this analysis?

I think you are mostly right, particularly with the phone companies. As far as the cable companies go, they are not so corporate, but are much more entrepeneurial. Many want control, period. Since they have monopolies in their area, they can get control. Still, AOL should be able to put together broadband deals to get to 90% or more of the U. S. population through one means or another, by this time next year.

That is plenty to make the model work.
