Yes, it doesn't go into the annals of Profiles of Courage to comment on Oracle's earnings the morning of the day they are released, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a heck of alot better than keeping your head down and waiting for the actual numbers. People want info especially around earnings time; analysts should be encouraged to make calls before rather than after earnings surprises. Otherwise, their call is basically hindsight. Take it for whatever it's worth.

I expect good things after the bell--the ORCL CC broadcast is a first
for the Nasdaq with more to follow from the other Nas 100 companies.
I don't think the virgin broadcast would involve ORCL if bad news
was to be handed out. Larry was showing a lot of swagger at that
little speech about overtaking MSFT. I don't see bad news to come.
