For those of you who don't read or haven't yet read the GUMM thread on Yahoo, Zicam is now available at Kroger grocery stores across the country. It is also being sold at other regional grocery stores owned by Kroger Corporation, including City Markets, Dillons, Fry's, and King Soopers. This news came out late today. The Zicam website at zicam.com has already been updated to reflect Kroger's status.

Four pharmaceutical distributors have also started distributing Zicam recently, including Barnes, Bergen Brunswig, Cardinal Health, and Dakota Drug. I'm expecting Kmart, Rite Aid, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart to start stocking Zicam very soon. The buyer at Albertsons told me that they are going to do a "bonus buy" for Zicam within the next two weeks. Albertsons has already reordered Zicam several times since their initial order and this was before the nationwide advertising started this Monday. Sufice to say, Zicam is selling very well.

It is very likely that GumTech's first quarter revenue will far exceed current expectations because the analyst at GunnAllen did not include Zicam in his forecast and the product is selling very well. The estimate for the first quarter is a 1 cent profit and I'm expecting GumTech to beat that by a wide margin. I believe that the gum business is also doing very well this quarter.
