DSL does use regular phone lines . . . Cable is something different

Jon,

Try the multi-link system which is available on Windows 98. Using two modems on two phone lines which split the signal one can approach a 112k speed. It requires another modem hookup on the ISP end and most ISP's will do this for only $12 a month extra. So it takes an extra phone line, an extra modem in the computer, another modem on the ISP end. The monthly cost here is approximately $30 more a month to effectively double access speed. No software needed you just change your settings after modem installation in the Dial up Connections.

First check with your ISP. A lot of them are providing this or can if you ask.
