Thread,

All buying today for the most part off the ask with the exception of what appears to be more shorting by the Hunts out of STRK which is a new ECN affiliated with BEAR-STEARNS. My feeling is that GF is under the gun now and will try and make himself look like a poor victim of the Big Bad Hunts and their manipulation of the Stock.

Well GEORGE I am not buying that BullShi# for one minute. You are very familiar with the rules of the Convertible Debenture game and you let the Hunts take this stock down from $4-5 because you were too incompetent to see through to any other type of financing. Don't for one minute not take responsibility for your mismanagement and inability, along with your CFO Denis Fitzpatrick, and now say I didn't realize what was happening.

You screwed the Shareholder by letting the Warrants not be extended and went to bed with the Hunts and then allowed them to short because you would say “They were the only game in town” or have your PR guy Dodge say “That this is a difficult environment to get money in”.

Take responsibility the Hunts are in the Cayman Islands for a reason and when you call the investor “the debenture holder” it is because you are afraid to admit that they are a well protected offshore fund that will never be held accountable for shorting nakedly and converting shares at the lowest possible price.

You were, to your credit, able to maneuver the company into a favorable position in KAZ and to rehab the Refinery and those are real accomplishments. But you have been paid handsomely for this and have a significant stake now in the company that will allow you to further benefit from these accomplishments.

You need to step down and no amount of posturing about the “poor me” defense will save you from accountability for the fact that you really financed this company out of my pocket any every other shareholder who watched the HUNTS drip drip drip the money out of the equity in the stock.

I can live with this but I can not live with you saying “I did not know they were doing this to me”. Take responsibility and announce your intentions to step down or a succession plan and to boot announce that you will not sell one share in this company for the next five years.

That is taking your medicine just the same as every share holder has had to do. If you did not know they (HUNTS) were going to do this to you (GEORGE FARIS and AIPN) then why did you sell so many of your shares in late 1997 and early 1998.

Enough is enough Don't you dare posture now to save your job.
