Just saw it. It sounds impressive. Let us hope that the threat of a competitor seizing the markets that Microvision has targeted will light fire to the juices of consumer product and market development at Microvision.

As I have said in the past, the current window of opportunity for MVIS's technology shrinks as time goes on and competitors meet the needs of the market. I've been somwhat surprised that we have seen no consumer product introduced (or even announced) using Microvision's technology yet. Six months ago that were demonstrating its use as digital projection system and as a digital scanner but we have heard nothing further considering these efforts. I hope Microvision is looking for partners because there is near zero chance of it developing these new markets on its own in any sort of reasonable timeframe (ie within the five year window of opportunity I set)due to lack of resources (people, capital, etc.).

Of course, I'm not saying that I'm too worried yet as today's announcement means little since production of the device isn't expected until late in the year. But.....
