And to think I recommended this stock to my stock club! Yep, we bought it just last month. I'll have to wear a bag over my head and stuff a sock in my mouth at our next meeting (sigh).

Basically, I bought ValueLine's analysis of the company. I wasn't concerned about the debt because of their rapid growth rates, both in terms of revenues, eps, and shareholder equity. ValueLine bought management's explanation for the high inventory build-up and so I trusted VL's opinion on this matter.

I dismissed their low income tax rates and high profit margin numbers, which are normally tip-offs of unsustainable performance. Another no-no was the stock's historically bumpy revenue and eps growth rates. We did not read their 10K where, as I uderstand it, I would have discovered that the IRS is auditing their 1995 and 96 returns. I dismissed the latex lawsuits as the company has private insurance against such lawsuits.

If I hadn't been so greedy.... if if if. Of course, I bought a few shares for my own portfolio. I think the best we can hope for is an anouncement that SFSK bought LONDY. Who knows what the worst is!
