MU: 3:58 = 51 7/8 , MU: 4:00= 53 7/8? What's up with that?
Perhaps a large institutional order? First time in 3 days MU traded
with a little life.

The NYSE MU specialists outdid themselves today. That closing price action did not smell good. Selling off on monstrous volume all day against the backdrop market rally, and gaps up 2 at the closing bell...

John:

TXN has already pedalled their MU "notes" and will sell their stock "at the appropriate time". Might that be ASAP? (g)

As you note, that market close was amazing. Might have something to do with the fact that the funds are buried in this thing and in "size". Capital already filed to sell and some funds have already commenced unloading (also in size).

So far, the warnings period in PC/semi land has been worse than a bummer. Not a single piece of good news in sight. But of course, the analysts still try to pump it up. Now where will all those memory chips be sold? Sure as heck they all are not going to be soaked up by the shrinking PC pie, so look for nonsense about DVD, and "appliances", etc. (g)
I'm enjoying the ride already, and we still have a nice long slide still ahead.

Best, Earlie
