JDN... That's the ace that CPQ has left to play. I believe that they WILL distribute shares to the CPQ shareholders. Why? Because EP said that one of the reasons that he was spinning it off was to "Unlock some of the value to the shareholders." And I think he said "some." That means to me we get shares. My guess, 1 AV for every 17-20 CPQ. But then WHAT DO I KNOW??? He will need that announcement to fend off angry shareholders on 4/22. El

Dear JDN: I think your broker is right and agree with El's posting to your reply. What I anticipate is something similar to T's spin-off of LU, where T shareholders got some shares and the rest were sold during the IPO.

Without taking a look, I do not recall the exact number of shares T shareholders got, but it was stated as a fractional amount, something like .1073 shares of LU for every T share [fractional amount cited incorrect].
