San Felipe, dude, on the Sea of Cortez. It's been a long time since I was there, but it was real nice. You do have to be careful driving in Mexico, and make sure you have insurance.

Driving in Mexico. Great memory. Years ago, 1982, sitting in bar on the main drag of Puerto Vallarta. We were enjoying the early evening sunset in a windowless bar sunlight filtering in as we looked out over the dusty cobblestone street towards the seaward prominade. I was sitting in a deep slung hide leather chair. We had just been oogling this fire-engine red expensive looking Porsche, Texas plates, parked right outside in front of us. Inches away from the careening taxis whipping past, $200 clunkers of big iron vintage. We were craning our necks trying to guess who might the owners be. Monica left for some freshening up just then this youngish good looking couple gets up, walks out and pops into said Porsche driving all of 50 feet down the block to the next bar and disappear inside. Musta been relocated Californians. As I twist and turn jaw agape, I knock my wine glass over and it sloshes and fills the leather saddle I was enjoying. You hadta been there. Monica nearly died laughing when she got back.
