no earnings surprise as it is expected from orcl,,,they were below whisper number. the stock had 22c in its evaluation. So look for a drop tomorrow.

It's a disappointment...looks more like a $0.19 Q to me after taking out 1-time gain from sale of ORCL Japan.

*3Q apps grew at only 5%, way below Street estimates of 18%...this # especially is getting the stock killed.

It's a favorite of the momentum crowd. What you're seeing now is the downside of momentum investing (panic selling and sheeplike behaviour). The stock price got way ahead of itself in the last few months and what you'll see tomorrow will be a periodic correction to bring it back to a more reasonable valuation. I'll be buying after the initial selloff.

BTW, it's following in the tradition of other high flying momentum stocks. Forget the so called earnings disappointment. Fundamentals for stocks like ORCL are important in the long run, but secondary in the short term.
