No, this is pretty much a re-statement of DJ's original Seattle article.

We've seen that CBS Market Watch is a little wet behind the ears ("Samsung might get into the DRAM business"), and this one's pretty high on the "incredulous writer" meter:

- "Micron Technology confirmed": Who confirmed whose original assertion? Was it just Julie Nash, speaking for MTI, confirming that Kipp Bedard did indeed utter the phrase at a tout-fest? Indeed, Micron is making a big deal about analysts being behind the curve.

- "outpaced some analysts' expectations": Whose expectations? The ones that were hopelessly low? "Outpaced" by how much? Any numbers on that keyboard?

- "[Julie Nash] cited in part the PC industry climate of stable pricing and demand.": The howler of the article! What need I say?: "Emily want a cracker?"

- "We really don't comment on analysts' expectations": Well, except in this case, a week before they announce earnings, to say that they think they're wrong.

Rubber-stamped for your protection!
