I already did
I had a 56.6 USRX modem but now, thanks to the upgrade, I'm running a v.90
Not much difference

The way you update your modem code is to download and
install 3Com's modem update wizard from their site.
It will recognize your modem and tell you if it's
capable of being upgraded. If it is, it will give
you the option of dialing into their server and
paying $60 to update your modem code to 56K.

...or you can choose "have disk"...and with the right file...
