Actually, Mrs. DSD is up in Chicago visiting a close friend who has maybe a week or two to live. She is ravaged with cancer and it is now shutting down her vital organs. It's really sad. She's maybe 42 and is a really lovely, energetic person. Prayers are most appreciated.

Anyway, the Mrs. left the kids with my folks, who live about 80 miles from Chicago. I've got this combination chest cold, flu bug thing. I went to work today but left early after I had this unstoppable coughing fit that lasted about an hour. Then my nose started running and I got all sweaty, though that may have been because I had Syracuse going to the final 8 in the office pool and they are already out of the tournament.

I'm still a practicing Catholic and I do my best to observe the rules. The only Lenten resolution I make these days is to improve myself. So now I'm going to the Y 3 mornings a week and I try to stay upbeat.
