apparently, "management" (yeah, i use that term loosely) had a conference call tonight.

I listened to the first 20 minutes or so of the conference call. (Thanks for posting the phone number)

The news for this quarter is grim - it IS .27 or so BELOW expectations, which comes in at an EPS of around .01. AND for the rest of the year, there's another 28c or so below expectations. I am not looking at the chart with the analysts' expectation, but that seems to me to mean that EPS this year will be BELOW last year's. So much for 25% year-over-year improvements.

FWIW, Jaffe sounded scared. He evaded questions about whether Safeskin is losing current contracts (saying he didn't know OFFICIALLY of any yet, which means he does). His explanation of the shortfall is that they hadn't expected that their new contracts would only kick in when the buyers' old glove inventory was exhausted. That sounds like poor work. So much for the image of supercompetent leadership Safeskin was projecting."
